These are my entries for the September show at Watercolor Art Society-Houston (WAS-H). The theme for the show is The Shape of Belonging. My pieces were inspired by the theme and by a class taught by Sue Bishop at WAS-H. The gallery is open to see the show afterwards through September 26 (Tues-Sat 10-3 at 1601 W Alabama St).
The paintings are (from left to right):
The Shape of Belonging I. Acrylic, charcoal, alcohol markers, soft pastels, watercolor marker on cradled panel, 9" x 12" x 1½" ($145).
The Shape of Belonging II. Acrylic, charcoal, alcohol markers, soft pastels on canvas, 20" x 20" x 5/8" ($420).
The Shape of Belonging III. Acrylic, charcoal, alcohol markers, soft pastels, fineliner (water-based pigment), watercolor marker on cradled panel, 16" x 20" x 5/8" ($350).
